MEN Standards & Policies
Built on trust. Sustained by accountability.
Why Standards Matter
MEN is not a casual community. It is an institution with a 100-year vision.
That vision requires clear standards that protect brothers, leaders, and the movement itself. Our standards are not bureaucratic restrictions — they are the shared agreements that make trust possible.
MEN Code of Conduct
Every brother in MEN — regardless of stage or role — agrees to live by the MEN Code of Conduct:
I. Honour the Brotherhood
I treat every brother with dignity, respect, and discretion. What is shared in the Circle stays in the Circle.
II. Live the Creed
I am committed to living the MEN Creed — not just knowing it.
III. Lead With Integrity
I do not pursue status. I pursue service. I lead with integrity in every room.
IV. Protect the Culture
I do not allow toxic behaviour, ego, or abuse of power to flourish in my presence.
V. Own My Failures
I acknowledge when I am wrong. I repair when I cause harm. I grow from every challenge.
VI. Build Others Up
I invest in the men around me. I celebrate their wins. I support them in their struggles.
Chapter Standards
All MEN chapters are required to:
Hold Regular Circles
A minimum of 2 MENCircle sessions per month within each chapter.
Submit Quarterly Reports
Financial and impact reports submitted to MENGlobal every quarter.
Maintain Brotherhood Code
Uphold the MEN Brotherhood Code in all chapter activities and events.
Develop Leaders
At least one active leader progressing through the MEN Leadership Pathway per chapter.
Leadership Ethics
All MEN leaders — from Circle Leads to Council Members — agree to the following ethical commitments:
- I will not use my position in MEN for personal financial gain
- I will not exploit the brotherhood for business advantage
- I will not use MEN’s name, brand, or community for political leverage
- I will be transparent with those I serve about decisions that affect them
- I will step down rather than compromise the movement’s integrity
- I will mentor the next leader — and celebrate when they surpass me
Financial Transparency Policy
MEN operates on a model of financial transparency:
- All chapter finances are reported to MENGlobal quarterly
- MENGlobal publishes an annual financial summary accessible to all brothers
- No single individual can authorise expenditure above the approved threshold without co-signature
- All MEN Cares Fund disbursements are reported to the brotherhood
Safeguarding Policy
MEN is committed to the safety of every brother:
- MEN operates a zero-tolerance policy on abuse, harassment, or exploitation of any kind
- Any safeguarding concern can be reported confidentially to MENGlobal
- All reports are handled with confidentiality and urgency
- MEN will act swiftly to remove any individual who violates safeguarding principles
